This week, I have been struggling to keep a positive attitude while watching the horrible things that happen in the news. Have we forgotten that we really are a Godly nation? The rest of the world sees us that way. ISIS hates us because we want to liberate the oppressed, stand up for Christianity and back Israel. How should we respond? How should we respond to tragedy in our own streets? Proverbs 14:34
34 Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin condemns any people.

We should respond with a Right relationship with God and others. That is what Righteousness means. What sins do God hate?
Proverbs 6:16-19
16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Sin does not fix Sin. Let us rise above this and seek the Lord.

Let us dwell in unity:
Psalms 133:1 Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!

We need more youth programs to help teens like Michael Brown. We need more parenting training to guide our youth. We need more Jobs to keep families together. We need better trained, equipped, and payed police officers so that they are not under stress all the time. We need not cut back our military so that we do not loose control in a nation and have the scourge of ISIS.

Should we fight ISIS? Yes, we should destroy them. This is the difference between violent people and the honor of a warrior. A Warrior is a protector of the weak and innocent. If warriors do not stand up to this threat, then evil people will continue to hurt other. This is why I love Jesus, work out, and go to the range. One must be prepared to stop evil.
